Love Puzl is operated by Immortal Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it. It applies to the Love Puzl iOS app, the lovepuzl.com website, and related services (together, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address (for login and communication) and any profile details you choose to provide — display name, age, photos, preferences, location area (city-level), and the answers you give to onboarding and puzzle questions.

Coaching conversations. When you use the Merlin AI coaching feature, we store the transcripts of your conversations so that Merlin can maintain context across sessions and so that you can revisit prior coaching. These transcripts are linked to your account.

Matching and interaction data. Profiles you rate, matches you make, messages you exchange within the app, and other in-app actions are stored to operate the Service.

Device and usage data. We collect standard app analytics — device type, operating-system version, app version, approximate region (inferred from IP), and in-app events (e.g. feature used, screen viewed) — to understand how the Service is used and to improve it. We do not track you across third-party apps or websites.

Purchase data. When you subscribe, we record the fact that you have an active subscription and the tier you are on. For App Store purchases, payment details are handled entirely by Apple and are never sent to us. For web purchases, payment details are handled by Stripe — we only receive a confirmation token and the last four digits of your card.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core Service — matching, messaging, coaching.
• To personalise the experience — Merlin’s coaching, match suggestions, content recommendations.
• To process subscriptions and prevent fraud.
• To communicate with you — account emails, support replies, important changes.
• To improve the Service — aggregated analytics, bug diagnosis, new feature research.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3. Who We Share It With

We do not sell your personal information. We share it with trusted third-party processors who operate the Service on our behalf, each bound by data-processing agreements:

• Supabase — hosting, database, authentication. Your account data and coaching transcripts live here.
• Apple — App Store distribution, iOS platform services, and App Store subscription billing.
• Stripe — web subscription billing.
• Anthropic — AI coaching inference. Conversations are sent to Anthropic’s API to generate Merlin’s responses. Anthropic’s enterprise API does not train on customer inputs.
• PostHog — product analytics. We send pseudonymised event data.
• Brevo — transactional email (welcome, support replies, receipts).

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of users, or in connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, sale of assets) — in which case we will give you advance notice where legally possible.

4. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your profile, photos, coaching transcripts, and match/message history within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. billing records for tax purposes) or in aggregated, anonymised form that cannot identify you.

5. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Delete your account and associated data (“right to be forgotten”).
• Port your data to another service in a machine-readable format.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent where we relied on consent to process your data.
• Lodge a complaint with a data-protection authority (for example, your local EU data protection authority, the UK ICO, or the relevant US state authority).

To exercise any of these rights, reach us through our support page. You can also delete your account directly in the Love Puzl app (Settings → Account → Delete account).

6. Children

Love Puzl is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest) and reasonable administrative and physical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

Immortal Ventures LLC is based in the United States. Our hosting providers store data in US and EU regions depending on the service. Where your data is transferred from the EU, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards approved by the relevant regulator.

9. Marketing Communications

We may send you occasional emails about new Love Puzl features, tips, or surveys. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us. Transactional emails (receipts, password resets, important account notices) are not marketing and cannot be opted out of while you maintain an account.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify you in-app or by email before the change takes effect.
